1. Association between a medical school admission process using the multiple mini-interview and national licensing examination
Students that were accepted by an admissions process that used MMI assessment, scored higher on Canadian national licensing examinations than those who were rejected.

2. Certifying Examination Performance and Patient Outcomes following Acute Myocardial Infarction
Holding all variables constant, successful examination performance was associated with a 19% reduction in mortality. Decreased mortality was also correlated with treatment in hospital located outwith either rural or urban settings and with management by a cardiologist. This information lends support to the concept that fund of knowledge is related to quality of practice.
