Saturday, and Sunday, April 23, 24, 2022: IN-PERSON practical sessions in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Friday afternoon, May 6, 2022: Online theory review
Friday evening, May 6, 2022: Online practical session review
May 7, 2022: Online examination. Written examination in the morning and Zoom practical examination in the afternoon.
Please reserve these dates as backup dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic in case we have to cancel and reschedule sessions to May 8, 27, 28, and 29.

REQUIREMENTS
Please note that two doses of acceptable vaccination at least 14 days before April 23, 2022, is required to be accepted into the program. Please check the McMaster University website for the most current vaccine requirements. www.mcmaster.ca
Registrants are required to have a smartphone and a computer with a camera with high-speed internet in order to be accepted into the program. Your internet speed has to be able to accommodate two Zoom sessions with your smartphone and computer simultaneously.
Please make sure you can attend the dates for the in-person practical sessions in Hamilton and the online examinations before you register for our program.

Description

Online Program with One In-Person Practical Weekend in Hamilton
This fundamental level introduces the basic concepts of acupuncture treatment including the neuroanatomical, evidence-based, and basic approach to common musculoskeletal conditions. Safety issues and potential complications from acupuncture treatments will be discussed. Online lecture format will be used for the lectures and the written and practical examinations. There will be one weekend of in-person practical sessions to practice safe needling in small group sessions in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. There will be self-study components to explore more in-depth theoretical foundations of acupuncture and to plan for treatment protocols. The registrant may claim up to 200 hours of credits for work completed.
