Online Program with One In-Person Practical Weekend in Hamilton (Regular fee $8495).

This core fundamental level introduces the basic concepts of acupuncture treatment, including the neuroanatomical, evidence-based, and basic approach to common musculoskeletal conditions. Safety issues and potential complications from acupuncture treatments will be discussed. Online lecture format will be used for the lectures and the written and practical examinations. There will be one weekend of in-person practical sessions to practice safe needling in small group sessions in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. There will be self-study components to explore more in-depth theoretical foundations of acupuncture and to plan for treatment protocols. The registrant may claim up to 200 hours of credits for work completed. The core components consist of 50 hours of contact either in-person or online through Zoom. The extra hours of self-study (150 hours) are available for registrants to meet the requirements of their regulatory colleges or boards. Physicians from the United States requiring 300 hours of training should contact us before registering.

Friday, May 10, 2024, Online practical session or in-person practical and knowledge consolidation session: 1:00-5:15 PM
Saturday, May 11, 2024: Online examination. Zoom practical examination in the morning and online written examination in the afternoon.

Registrants are required to have a smartphone and a computer with a camera with high-speed internet in order to be accepted into the program. A program equivalent to Safe-Exam Browser will need to be successfully downloaded. A staff member will contact you to make sure your computer and phone are in compliance.

Early-bird Special discount: $5995 per registrant for the first ten complete registrations opens on January 2, 2024 at 09:00 AM.
Note: Registrants from the in-person cohort wanting to participate in any of the on-line components must pay the difference between the full on-line program fee and the fee they paid and will have their registration changed to online status. No switching or changing to the online cohort from the in-person cohort is allowed with 30 days or less from the date of the Fundamental examination.
Students must successfully pass the written and practical examinations within two years of registering and starting the acupuncture program. Otherwise, students will not be admitted to the examinations unless they have taken a refresher course and completed all the practical session requirements again.
