Dr. Campiglia (Helena), MD

Dr. Campiglia is an internal medicine specialist and has an active practice in acupuncture

Dr. Campiglia has been working as an acupuncturist for the last 14 years and an Internist for the last 9 years.  Furthermore, she has been teaching acupuncture in Brazil for the last 10 years.

After medical school, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine (in Universidade de Sao Paulo) and training in Acupuncture. She has an observership in the US (Baylor College of Medicine-Houston) and further training in Brazil in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She completed a post-graduation course in psychotherapy (analytical psychology from Dr Carl Gustav Jung).

Her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine: She studied in Brazil a 3 year course in the Hospital do Servidor Publico Municipal. She also learned acupuncture as a student during my Medical Graduation Course for about 2 years (in Universidade de Sao Paulo).  Furthermore, she attended a 2 months course (practice and theory) in Beijing-China.  Currently, she teaches TCM in another big public hospital for doctors: Hospital do Servidor Publico Estadual and in AMBA (Associação Médica Brasileira de Acupuntura).

Her book, Psique and TCM, was launched in 2004 (She wrote it after studying psychology and she wanted to make a bridge between these two disciplines).  She is currently working on her second book about TCM and OB/GYN problems; mainly on fertility, pregnancy and labour.
