Practitioner of Internal Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. She was an attending doctor at the Dongzhimen Hospital, the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Susan Hu completed her Chinese medical degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992 after 6 years of training. She has worked extensively in Chinese health care system. She was involved as a professor of Internal Chinese Medicine at the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and served as an attending doctor at a teaching hospital, Dongzhimen hospital for 8 years before she immigrated to Canada.
She has an acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine clinic since 2000 She taught acupuncture and herbal medicine classes both in Chinese and English.
Her clinic was the official training site for the Michener Institute during 2001- 2004. She was awarded the certificate of appreciation for outstanding contribution to the acupuncture program in 2004.
